We value partnerships because we can spread the gospel of the glory of Christ more effectively together than we can alone.
Partnerships are often overlooked, yet they are mentioned by the Apostle Paul in the new testament. Paul wrote to the Philippians using the word, “partnership,” to describe churches working together: I thank my God in all my remembrance of you…because of your partnership in the gospel. (Phil. 1:3-5) These partnerships help us take the gospel to both the neighborhoods in East St. Louis and the ends of the earth (Matt. 28:19; Acts 1:8). City of Joy Fellowship is so blessed and grateful for our partnerships in the Gospel.
The North American Mission Board exists to work with churches, associations and state conventions in mobilizing Southern Baptists as a missional force to impact North America with the gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelism and church planting. We accomplish that through Send North America, our national strategy for mobilizing churches to plant churches and mobilizing church planters and other missionaries to assist with those efforts. Through Send Relief, the North American Mission Board is assisting churches in reaching people in need with practical help and the hope of the gospel.
